Marcos visits evacuated families in Bacolor, Pampanga

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Monday visited 62 families or 276 individuals in Pampanga who were evacuated following continued rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, according to the Palace.

The evacuated residents have been staying at the Bacolor Mini Convention Center Evacuation Center in Barangay Cabambangan, Bacolor for 16 days.

Malacañang said the President ensured that the families are continuously receiving P10,000 cash assistance, family food packs, and other relief assistance.

“Magpapatuloy ang suporta ng pamahalaan hanggang sa ligtas na makabalik ang mga pamilya sa kanilang tahanan, kasabay ng mga pangmatagalang hakbang upang matugunan ang paulit-ulit na pagbaha sa Pampanga,” the Palace said in a statement.

(Government support will continue until the families can safely return to their homes, alongside long-term measures to address the recurring flooding in Pampanga.)
