Motorcycle passenger dies after collision with husband's car in Cagayan de Oro

The female passenger of a motorcycle in Cagayan De Oro City that was allegedly hit by her husband's car has died, according to a report by James Paolo Yap on GMA Regional TV's One Mindanao.

In photos taken by COCPO or Cagayan de Oro City Police Office of the incident that occurred in Barangay Kauswagan in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental, the motorcycle can be seen under the vehicle.

The female passenger died while the motorcycle driver is in critical condition.

According to police investigation, the driver of the vehicle that collided with the motorcycle was the husband of the female passenger.

The victim's relatives related that the couple often fight were no longer in good terms but they still live together in one house, according to COCPO spokesperson Police Major Emilita Simon.

The suspect was arrested by police officers who responded to the incident.

The suspect, who could face charges of parricide and serious physical injury, has not yet issued a statement.

The victim's husband was not cooperative with our investigators' inquiry, Simon said. — BAP, GMA News
