By GMA News
Magat Dam in Luzon had one gate still open on Saturday, PAGASA said in its update.
At 6 a.m. on August 20, one gate of Magat Dam was open at one meter to release water.
The reservoir water level (RWL) of the dam was at 188.12 meters at 6 a.m. on Saturday, near the 190-meter spilling level or normal high water level (NHWL).
On Friday, one gate of Magat Dam was open at two meters as the dam's RWL was at 188.94 meters at 6 a.m.
Magat Dam, which straddles Ifugao and Isabela, started releasing water on Wednesday, August 17, to ensure a safe water level amid continuous rains brought about by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
Isolated rain showers are to be expected on Saturday due to localized thunderstorms, PAGASA said. —KG, GMA News
