Miss Gay winner stabbed 13 times in Lipa

A member of the LGBTQ community was killed after he was stabbed 13 times in Lipa City, Batangas.

According to Nico Waje's report on "Saksi," it was just in June when 25-year-old Jericho Elliorate won the Miss Gay title in Barangay Sampat in Tanauan.

He was killed after midnight on Saturday after a get-together with friends who were also deaf.

Investigation showed that it was during the party that he met the suspect, who invited him to go somewhere else.

CCTV footage showed Jericho and the suspect alighting from a tricycle.

The video didn't capture the actual stabbing, but it caught the suspect leaving and returning to the crime scene to take the victim's wallet.

The CCTV led to the arrest of the suspect, who would not give any comment.

Police said the suspect allegedly got upset because the victim touched him.

"Hindi po kami naniniwala na hinipuan niya yung lalaki. Opo bakla po siya pero sensitive po siya.
'Yung lokohin nga po siya sa ibang lalaki nagagalit po siya e," the victim's sister Janine said.

"Wala po akong masabi napakabait po ng anak ko. Wala po akong masabi diyan," his mother added. –NB, GMA Integrated News
