2 arrested, P7.4M in suspected shabu recovered in Bohol drug bust
Authorities arrested two high-value drug suspects and recovered over P7.4 million in suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on Monday, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
In a statement, the PNP said the operation was carried out at 12:56 a.m. of April 27 by police units and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Law enforcers arrested two suspects during the buy-bust operation and recovered over one kilo of suspected shabu valued at P7.458 million.
“This successful operation reflects our continued commitment to disrupt illegal drug activities and prevent them from reaching our communities. We will sustain our efforts against all forms of drug trafficking,” said PNP chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
“Patuloy ang PNP sa mas pinaigting na operasyon laban sa ilegal na droga. Layunin natin na mapanatiling ligtas ang mga komunidad at mapigilan ang pagkalat ng ipinagbabawal na gamot sa lipunan,” he added.
