GT Capital Holdings Inc. on Tuesday announced the donation of a 15-hectare parcel of land in its Riverpark development in General Trias City, Cavite, to the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) for the academic institution’s new Cavite campus.

The deed of donation was signed on Monday, May 11, adding the new Ateneo campus to the growing list of developments within the township, including the Uniqlo Logistics Facility launched in April and the upcoming SM City General Trias.

The new Ateneo campus, which is targeted to open by 2030, was first announced in October last year.

“The new Ateneo campus in Riverpark allows us to extend our mission and provide more families in Cavite and nearby provinces with access to quality education rooted in our Jesuit tradition,” ADMU president Fr. Roberto Yap, S.J. said at the time.

GT Capital has interests in banking, automotive assembly, importation, dealership and financing, property development, life and general insurance, and infrastructure.

Its business interests include Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank), Toyota Motor Philippines Corp., Federal Land Inc., AXA Philippines Life and General Insurance Corp., and Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC).— MCG, GMA News
