Tabuk, Kalinga founding anniversary declared a special non-working day

Malacañang has declared Tuesday, June 23, 2026, a special non-working day in Tabuk City in celebration of its founding anniversary.

The declaration was made through Proclamation 1259 signed by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

According to the proclamation, the holiday will give residents of Tabuk the full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration.

A special non-working day generally follows a "no work, no pay" policy unless a company policy or collective bargaining agreement provides otherwise.

Employees who report for work on a special non-working holiday are entitled to additional pay. — VDV, GMA News
