Couple found dead inside parked car at TPLEX gas station
The bodies of a man and a woman were found inside a car parked at a gas station along the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX).
According to Marisol Abdurahman’s report in “24 Oras” on Thursday, a source told GMA News the couple was aboard a sport utility vehicle that went through a coffee shop drive-thru just before 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, before parking behind the establishment.
Employees grew suspicious after the vehicle remained parked there for the entire day. Staff reportedly knocked on the vehicle repeatedly, but received no response. This prompted them to alert the police at around 4:00 p.m.
“They were in the backseat of the car,” said Police Captain Ruby Alcantara, Tarlac Police public information officer.
Initial investigation showed there were no stab or gunshot wounds found on the bodies.
“There were no blood stains found. We are waiting for the results of the forensic examination and the investigation is still ongoing,” said Alcantara.
Meanwhile, the victims’ families confirmed their identities, police said.
Alcantara said both families were looking for the two victims.
