GMA Kapuso Foundation gives food packs, hygiene kits to earthquake victims in South Cotabato
A total of 8,000 earthquake victims in South Cotabato received food packs and hygiene kits from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
As seen in "24 Oras," Wednesday, residents of Sitio Stop, Barangay Acmonan, Tupi, South Cotabato built temporary homes in a vacant lot, as they were not yet allowed to return to their homes following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Mindanao last month.
Among those who live in temporary homes are Analie's family, who live under a tarpaulin and a curtain.
Norissa Jane Borja's family also struggled with losing their home after saving for it for three years.
Tupi is known as South Cotabato's fruit and vegetable basket. To help the farmers affected by the earthquake and upcoming el nino, GMA Kapuso Foundation's Operation Bayanihan headed to seven villages in the area to distribute food packs, hygiene kits, and adult and baby diapers with the help of Universal Guardians Brotherhood.
For those who wish to support GMA Kapuso Foundation's projects, donations may be made via Metrobank, Land Bank, BDO, Bank of Commerce, UnionBank, PNB, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Lazada, Shopee, and Palawan Pay.
