PHIVOLCS: Lava flow, moderate explosive volcanic eruption observed from Mayon Volcano

Lava flow with Strombolian activity or moderately explosive volcanic eruption was observed from the Mayon Volcano summit crate for the 192nd consecutive day on Wednesday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
The lava effusion with Strombolian activity were recorded at 7:27 p.m., 7:35 p.m., 7:45 p.m., and 11:43 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2026, as captured by the PHIVOLCS Quick Response Team.
"Effusive eruption at Mayon Volcano continues for the 192nd consecutive day, generating incandescent lava flows, pyroclastic density currents or "uson", and rockfalls," PHIVOLCS said.
Alert Level 3 remains over Mayon, and entry into the 6-km Permanent Danger Zone must be prohibited. — BAP, GMA News
