Magnitude-5.4 earthquake hits Mamburao, Mindoro Occidental

A magnitude-5.4 earthquake rocked Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro on Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

In its bulletin, PHIVOLCS said the earthquake occurred at 10:38 a.m.

It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 14 km.

The reported intensities are the following:

Intensity V - Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro; City of Calapan, Naujan, Puerto Galera, San Teodoro, and Victoria, Oriental Mindoro

Intensity IV - Taal, Batangas; Abra de Ilog, and Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro

Intensity III - Quezon City; Batangas City, Batangas; City of General Trias, Cavite; City of San Pedro, Laguna

Intensity II - City of Parañaque; Santa Cruz, Laguna; Guinayangan, Quezon
