Malacañang declares special non-working holidays in 7 localities

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has declared special non-working days in several areas this August and September to allow residents to participate in the events in their respective localities.

Under Proclamation No. 1387, August 14 was proclaimed a special non-working day in the Municipality of Pio V. Corpus in Masbаte for the celebration of the Limbuhan Festival.

On the same date, Mawab, Davao de Oro will also be a special non-working day for the celebration of its founding anniversary.

A special non-working day was likewise declared in the entire Davao City on August 14 for the annual celebration of Kadayawan Festival and the Indigenous Peoples Day.

The same day also marked a special non-working day in Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte, for its 67th founding anniversary.

August 25 was also declared a special non-working day in the City of Iloilo, under Proclamation No. 1388, to mark the celebration of its 89th charter anniversary.

In Minalin, Pampanga, August 27 was also named a special non-working day, under Proclamation No. 1386, to mark the celebration of the municipality’s 412th founding anniversary.

Proclamation No. 1389 also declared September 11 a special non-working day in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) for the celebration of the 40th “Sipat Anniversary,” or the cessation of hostilities in the region.
