Mother, 2 children found dead inside vehicle in San Rafael, Bulacan
A 31-year-old woman and her two children, aged nine and four, were found dead inside a vehicle in Barangay Talacsan, San Rafael, Bulacan.
The victims were found inside a vehicle parked in a secluded area of the barangay, According to a report of Gabriel Gonzales on GMA News’ Unang Balita on Friday.
Barangay officials went to the area after receiving a call around 2 p.m. on Thursday. Upon their arrival, they found the victims inside the vehicle.
Police held a case conference at the San Rafael Municipal Police Station on Thursday evening as part of their investigation.
Police had invited the sister of the deceased woman to their station as part of the investigation.
The police have yet to provide information if the woman’s husband and the children’s father has been questioned for the probe.
Barangay authorities believe the vehicle may have been left in the area as early as Wednesday night.
They are now considering installing closed-circuit television cameras and additional lights in the area, which is also used as a path by cattle caretakers.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) returned to the site at around 6 a.m. on Friday to continue processing the vehicle.
The SOCO team conducted 3D scanning as part of efforts to gather additional evidence from inside the vehicle. The vehicle may be removed from the area later in the day.
San Rafael Vice Mayor Edison Veneracion said the local government would also extend assistance to the victims’ relatives.
A relative of the victims, who declined to appear on camera, said the remains would be brought to their home in Angat, Bulacan. —Joviland Rita/ VAL, GMA News
