Cardinal Rosales denies calling for street protests

Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales, archbishop of Manila, on Sunday denied reports that he called for people to stage protests to support a relieved Marine officer. "The Archbishop has no instruction to any group to gather whatsoever...I hope people will not be deceived," a text message sent to a television station said.
