PAGASA: Cloudy skies, isolated rains over extreme Northern Luzon; monitoring tropical depression outside PAR

The state weather bureau reported that easterlies will bring cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over extreme Northern Luzon and will continue to monitor the tropical depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

PAGASA is monitoring the tropical depression located 2,675 kilometers east of Eastern Viayas packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers near the center, gustiness of up to 70 km/h, and moving north northeastward at the speed of 15 km/h.

Forecast Weather Conditions

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies as flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms and flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

The wind speed forecast for Mindanao is light to moderate and moving in the southwest to west direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Extreme Northern Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to northwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
