3 weather systems to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of PH — PAGASA
The trough of the Low Pressure Area (LPA), Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan while the Northeasterly Windflow will be affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon on Friday, PAGASA reported.
Meanwhile, as of 2 a.m., a Low Pressure Area (LPA 10a) is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
Forecast Weather Conditions
Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Quezon, Marinduque, and Romblon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA and flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeasterly Windflow and flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms and flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions
The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon is moderate to strong and moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
The wind speed forecast for the Visayas is light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters remain slight to moderate.
In Mindanao, the wind speed forecast is light to moderate and moving in the northwest to southwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
