PAGASA sees 1-2 tropical cyclones in PAR in November 2026
One or two tropical cyclones are expected to enter or form within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in November 2026, according to the state weather bureau PAGASA.
In a report on Balitanghali on Monday, PAGASA noted that historically, tropical cyclones entering in November typically make landfall over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, or the Caraga Region.
Forecast tracks indicate that these tropical cyclones may also traverse the Visayas toward Palawan or cut across Central Luzon, though there remains a chance they could recurve or veer away without making landfall.
Earlier, PAGASA stated that up to four tropical cyclones could still enter or form inside the PAR before the end of 2026, while two or more tropical cyclones may enter between January and April 2027.
According to the bureau’s climate outlook, most parts of the Philippines are expected to experience way below-to-below-normal rainfall in November 2026, except for Davao City, Davao del Norte, and Agusan del Norte, where near-normal rainfall conditions are expected.
From December 2026 through January 2027, PAGASA forecasts way below-to-below-normal rainfall across the country. –NB, GMA News
