Easterlies to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains in some parts of PH

The easterlies affecting the Philippines are forecast to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains in parts of Mindanao and Metro Manila on Tuesday, the state weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. public weather forecast, PAGASA said Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Zamboanga del Sur, and Misamis Occidental will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms as a result of the easterlies.

The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms to Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The state weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains in these areas.

Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Northern and Central Luzon will also have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
