Rains to persist in PH due to easterlies
Several areas in the country are expected to experience rains in the next 24 hours due to the easterlies, PAGASA said Tuesday afternoon.According to its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau said cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail in Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Misamis Occidental, and Basilan due to the easterlies.The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.PAGASA warned that these weather conditions may trigger flash floods or landslides.State meteorologists also said winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:35 a.m. on Wednesday. —VAL, GMA News
