PAGASA: 14 areas to have 'danger' level heat index on May 3
A total of 14 areas are predicted to have a "danger" level heat index on Sunday, May 3, including one in Metro Manila.
According to PAGASA’s heat index forecast on Saturday, the following areas will have heat indexes ranging from 42°C to 43°C:

- Dagupan City, Pangasinan
- Itbayat, Batanes
- Aparri, Cagayan
- Tuguegarao City, Cagayan

- NAIA, Pasay
- Cubi Pt., Subic Bay, Olongapo City
- TAU Camiling, Tarlac
- Sangley Point, Cavite City
- Infanta, Quezon
- Cuyo, Palawan
- CBSUA-Pili, Camarines Sur
- Dumangas, Iloilo
- Lan Granja, La Carlota, Negros Occidental
A danger level is issued when the heat index in an area is between 42°C and 51°C.
Meanwhile, 60 areas in the country were placed under the Extreme Caution category.
Benguet Radar, Tuba in Benguet, will have the lowest heat index (21°C).
Heat stroke is imminent in areas under extreme danger, while heat cramps, exhaustion, and heat stroke are probably risks under the danger level.
