PAGASA continues to monitor two low pressure areas (LPAs) outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) as one of them has a "high chance" of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
“Another low pressure area (LPA 05b) is being monitored outside the PAR and now has a ‘high’ chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours,” PAGASA said in its 10 a.m. outlook.
As of 8 a.m., PAGASA said the LPA was last located 2,595 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao.
Meanwhile, another LPA outside PAR is "unlikely" to develop as a tropical depression in the next 24 hours, according to PAGASA.
This LPA was last spotted 1,020 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao. —VAL, GMA News
