A low pressure area (LPA) being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, according to PAGASA.

In its 5 a.m. weather update, PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said the LPA (formerly Caloy) was estimated at 495 kilometers East of Virac, Catanduanes.

It will still be a hot and humid day on Wednesday, but with a chance of rain in the afternoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Forecast wind in Palawan, Visayas, the rest of Luzon, and Mindanao will be light to moderate.

Sunrise is at 5:29 a.m. and sunset is at 6:16 p.m. —LDF, GMA News
