Typhoon Domeng slightly intensifies over sea east of Batanes — PAGASA
Typhoon Domeng slightly intensified over the waters east of Batanes, state weather bureau PAGASA said on Sunday.
As of 4 p.m., the center of the typhoon’s eye was estimated at 650 kilometers east-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 130 kph and gustiness of up to 160 kph.
PAGASA said Domeng is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, bringing strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas:
Sunday, May 31: Most of the Visayas, Batanes, Cagayan, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Zamboanga del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, Agusan del Norte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Sarangani, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental.
Monday, June 1: Batanes, the Babuyan Islands, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Panay Island, and Negros Occidental.
Tuesday, June 2: Batanes, the Babuyan Islands, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Panay Island.
