Luzon, Visayas to receive rains due to Habagat

Luzon and the Visayas will experience cloudy skies and rain over the next 24 hours due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), the state weather bureau PAGASA said in its early Saturday morning forecast.

Metro Manila, La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, the Babuyan Islands, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Antique, Iloilo, and Guimaras are expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon and the Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the Davao Region, while the rest of Mindanao will experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters will prevail across the country.

In Metro Manila, the sun rose at 5:30 a.m. and is expected to set at 6:29 p.m. — VBL, GMA News
