Outside PAR, Typhoon Domeng weakens into severe tropical storm

The weather disturbance formerly known as Typhoon Domeng has weakened into a severe tropical storm outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
This is as of 8 p.m. of Monday, June 1, the state weather bureau said.
In a social media post, PAGASA said the severe tropical storm was estimated to be 890 km northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.
It is moving north-northeastward at 25 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h and gustiness of 135 km/h.
In its 5 p.m. tropical cyclone bulletin, PAGASA said the then typhoon is expected to continue weakening. It has already exited the PAR by then and was last located 795 km northeast of Itbayat, Batanes. — JMA, GMA News
