Cloudy skies, rains to be felt in parts of Luzon due to Habagat

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will bring cloudy skies and rains to the Ilocos Region and Zambales on Monday, the state weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. public weather forecast, PAGASA said the Southwest Monsoon is affecting the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon.

The Ilocos Region and Zambales will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Habagat, with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as a result of localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms in these areas.

Extreme Northern Luzon will have moderate winds and moderate seas, while the rest of the Philippines will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
