Habagat to bring rains over western sections of Northern Luzon — PAGASA
The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat is forecast to bring rains over western sections of Northern Luzon on Wednesday, the state weather bureau said Tuesday.
In PAGASA's 4 p.m. forecast, cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected over the Ilocos region, Batanes, the Babuyan Islands, and Zambales.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms brought by localized thunderstorms.
Affected areas of the Habagat and localized thunderstorms may experience possible flash floods or landslides.
Moderate to strong winds are expected in Northern Luzon, with moderate to rough coastal waters with waves running from 1.5 meters to 3.1 meters.
Light to moderate winds are expected in the rest of the country, with slight to moderate coastal waters with waves running from 0.6 meters to 1.5 meters.
At the PAGASA Science Garden weather station in Diliman, Quezon City, the highest temperature recorded on Tuesday reached 32.4 degrees Celsius at 3 p.m., while the lowest temperature was logged at 27.7 degrees Celsius at 6:30 a.m.
