Easterlies to bring rain over Mindanao, Visayas, Southern Luzon
The easterlies are expected to bring rain over Mindanao, Visayas, and the eastern parts of Southern Luzon on Monday, according to the state weather bureau.
In PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather bulletin, easterlies are forecast to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan and Tawi-Tawi.
Easterlies are also expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms in the Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, and the rest of Mindanao.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country could experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
Affected areas of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms may experience possible flash floods or landslides, according to PAGASA.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are expected in the country, with waves running from 0.6 to 1.8 meters in Northern Luzon and the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon, and 0.6 to 1.2 meters in the rest of the country.
At the PAGASA Science Garden weather station in Diliman, Quezon City, the highest temperature recorded on Sunday reached 32.2 degrees Celsius at 2 p.m., while the lowest temperature was logged at 24.5 degrees Celsius at 2 a.m.
