LPA outside PAR has 'medium' chance of becoming cyclone
A low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has a “medium” chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, the state weather bureau PAGASA said.
As of 2 a.m. on Wednesday, the LPA is at 3,070 kilometers East of Northeastern Mindanao, added PAGASA.
Meanwhile, the easterlies will affect the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.
Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental will have partly to mostly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
Residents in the affected areas are warned against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as a result of localized thunderstorms.
