Although it only has a "medium" chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, the low pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility will bring rain to parts of the country, including the Visayas and the Bicol Region, according to PAGASA.

As of 3 a.m. on Monday, the LPA was estimated based on all available data at 495 km East of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte

For PAGASA's weather forecast on Monday, Visayas, Bicol Region, Caraga, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA.

"Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains," PAGASA said.

The rest of MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought about by the Southwest Monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
