Typhoon Kiyapo, habagat will bring rain over parts of PH — PAGASA
Typhoon Kiyapo will bring rain over Northern Luzon while the southwest monsoon will be affecting Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Saturday, PAGASA reported.
Forecast Weather Conditions
Ilocos Norte, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands will have rains with gusty winds due Typhoon Kiyapo while flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains with at times intense rains. There will be minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds, said PAGASA.
Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro will have occasional rains due to the southwest monsoon while flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains.
Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Ilocos Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of of Typhoon Kiyapo as flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila, Visayas, the rest of Luzon, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon as flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon as flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions
The wind speed forecast for Mindanao is slight to moderate and moving in the southwest to southeast direction with light to moderate coastal waters.
Visayas and Southern Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving southwestward while coastal waters will be light to moderate.
The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will be light to moderate.
