Habagat to dominate weather over parts of Luzon

The Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, will continue to affect parts of Luzon, PAGASA said in its weather forecast on Monday afternoon.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail over the Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan, while Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, rest of MIMAROPA, Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to Habagat.

The rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods and landslides during heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.

Moderate winds and moderate coastal waters will prevail over the western section of Luzon.

Elsewhere, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are expected.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:38 a.m. Tuesday. —Lyjah Tiffany Bonzo/VBL, GMA News
