LPA's trough to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas

The trough of the Low Pressure Area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over parts of eastern Luzon and Visayas on Saturday, PAGASA reported.

At 3 a.m., the LPA was estimated at 960 kilometers east of Southeastern Luzon inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a low chance to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Forecast Weather Conditions

Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Quezon, and Marinduque will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Trough of the LPA while flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms while flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

The wind speed forecast for Mindanao is light to moderate and moving in the south to southwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Luzon and Visayas will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise will be at 5:39 a.m., sunset at 6:25 p.m. — BAP, GMA News
