RAINFALL ALERT: Orange in Bataan, Zambales; Yellow in Metro Manila, 6 areas (Friday, 2 pm)

An orange rainfall warning remains in effect in Bataan and Zambales, while a yellow rainfall warning has been raised in Metro Manila and six other areas on the afternoon of Friday, August 14, 2026.

PAGASA placed the following areas under Orange and Yellow warnings in its 2 p.m. advisory:

Orange Rainfall Warning (Flooding is still threatening)

• Zambales (Subic, Olongapo, San Marcelino, Castillejos, San Antonio, San Narciso, San Felipe, Cabangan, Botolan, Iba)

Yellow Rainfall Warning (Flooding in flood-prone areas)

• Metro Manila
• Bulacan
• Pampanga
• Cavite (Bacoor, Imus, Noveleta, Cavite City, Kawit, Tanza, Rosario, General Trias, Trece Martires, Naic, Maragondon, Ternate, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes)
• Batangas (Nasugbu, Tuy, Lian, Balayan, Calatagan, Calaca)
• Zambales (Palauig, Masinloc, Candelaria, Santa Cruz)
• Tarlac (San Clemente, Mayantoc, San Jose, Capas, Bamban)

PAGASA said light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are also expected within the next three hours over the following areas:

• Laguna
• Tarlac (Concepcion, Anao, Tarlac City, Gerona, La Paz, Paniqui, Pura, Ramos, San Manuel, Victoria, Camiling, Moncada, Santa Ignacia)
• Batangas(Alitagtag, Balete, Batangas City, Bauan, Tanauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Lipa, Lobo, Mabini, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Santo Tomas, Talisay, Taysan, Tingloy, Taal, San Nicolas, Agoncillo, Lemery, Laurel)

Meanwhile, light to moderate rain with occasional heavy rain is forecast to affect Rizal, Nueva Ecija (San Jose, Pantabangan, Lupao, Carranglan), Quezon (Catanauan, Burdeos, Panukulan, Patnanungan, Tagkawayan), Cavite (Alfonso, Amadeo, Indang, Mendez, Silang, Tagaytay, Carmona, Dasmarinas, Gen. Mariano Alvarez), and nearby areas.

Several areas have suspended classes on Friday due to the bad weather.

Malacañang also directed government offices in the National Capital Region and nearby areas to shift to alternative work arrangements, amid the effects of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

PAGASA advised the public and concerned Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices to monitor the weather conditions.

The next rainfall warning will be issued at 5:00 PM today.
