Typhoon Obet exited PAR on Monday evening; 2 tropical cyclones under monitoring
Two tropical cyclones still under monitoring after Typhoon Obet exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Monday evening, PAGASA reported.
As of 9:30 p.m. Typhoon Obet is outside the PAR and is located 1,310 kilometers east northeast of extreme Northern Luzon packing maximum sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour, gustiness of up to 190 km/h and moving in the west northwest direction at the speed of 25 km/h.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Atsani and Tropical Depression Gaenari (formerly Neneng) are being monitored outside the PAR.
Atsani is located 1,770 kilometers east of Northern Luzon packing maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h, gustiness of up to 80 km/h, and moving in the north northeast direction at the speed of 10 km/h.
Gaenari, meanwhile, is located 665 kilometers northwest of Itbayat, Batanes packing maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h, gustiness of up to 75 km/h, and moving west northwestward at the speed of 20 km/h.
