GMA Playlist welcomes the season with a new collection of music that explores love, remorse, and friendship, offering both heartfelt ballads from Sparkle artists and the official soundtracks of GMA Network’s values campaign, 'Ganito Tayo, Kapuso: Masayahin.' The campaign follows the journey of children engrossed in online gaming who, through their parents’ guidance, rediscover the joy of genuine connections. Its uplifting “masayahin” spirit is reflected in three tracks—"Ikaw Na Lang Ang Kulang," "Basta’t Magkasama Tayo," and "Atin ang Mundo." Kapuso singer Mitzi Josh takes the lead on "Ikaw Na Lang Ang Kulang," a song by Ann Margaret Figueroa that beautifully conveys the longing for true connection and the happiness that comes with companionship. Mitzi also teams up with Kim de Leon and Seb Pajarillo for "Basta’t Magkasama Tayo," composed by Figueroa and Joshua Gapasin, a lively track that celebrates the joy of togetherness. The collaboration extends to "Atin ang Mundo," performed by Kim and Seb, written by Figueroa and Kenneth Job Reodica, and mixed by Andrea Rae Culla. This anthem of empowerment captures the excitement of rediscovering the world through shared experiences. Adding emotional depth to the lineup, Sparkle’s John Rex, The Clash 2023 Grand Winner, lends his voice to "Kahit Wala Nang Tayo," the theme song for the GMA Afternoon Prime series Cruz vs. Cruz. Written by Roxanne E. Fabian and mixed by Harry A. Bernardino, the track reflects the turmoil of Neil Ryan Sese’s character Manuel, who struggles with the guilt of betraying his wife. “The lyrics narrate his deep regret and the enduring love that remains even after trust is broken in their marriage.” Another standout comes from Kim Perez with "Huling Hinto," a rock ballad composed by Rina Mercado and arranged by Roxanne E. Fabian. The song speaks of the painful moment of accepting that it’s truly over, paired with a plea for honesty from someone ready to let go. Kim’s heartfelt delivery brings raw sincerity to every lyric. The collaborations also include Kim de Leon and Seb Pajarillo's "Atin Ang Mundo," composed by Ann Margaret Figueroa and Kenneth Job Reodica, mixed by Andrea Rae Culla. GMA Music is welcoming new artists to its roster of talents. On January 25, solo artist Plume and OPM band Sala inked their contracts with GMA Music and AltG Records. Baguio-based Shaquille Iverson or Plume is a 20-year-old budding musician offering acoustic sounds with self-composed melancholic lyrics. His self-written track "Liwanag" offers hope in times of darkness to people struggling to find the light. Plume says he wrote "Liwanag" about a guy searching for the "light at the end of the tunnel." Another one of his compositions is "Beautiful," an ode to his love story with his girlfriend. Meanwhile, four-piece band Sala is composed of members Ronan on bass, Rigil on guitars, Neth on keyboards and guitar and Fourth on percussion and drums. One of Sala's upcoming releases is "Hi, Tita", a song sharing the experience of millennials who face the pressure of living up to their family's expectations. Japanese trio SkyGarden was surprised by the energy of Filipinos who joined them throughout their performances at the recently concluded music event, Howlers Manila 2.0 Cosplay & Music Festival, at Circuit Makati. SkyGarden heated the Howlers Manila stage with their electrifying performances! The trio had so much fun that they considered it as one of the most memorable events that happened in their group. The Clash 2023 champion John Rex and finalist Lianna Castillo sign contract with GMA Music

The Clash Season 5 grand winner John Rex and finalist Liana Castillo are now officially part of GMA Music's roster of talents. In the contract signing happened on September 11, the two were welcomed by GMA Music Artists and Repertoire Manager Kedy Sanchez, GMA Music Officer-in-charge and Marketing Services Manager Michelle Reyes, and GMA Music Artists and Repertoire Officer and In-house producer Caleb Hinanay. John Rex became the newest The Clash champion after defeating Arabelle dela Cruz where they both performed "Oras Ko 'To," an original piece composed by The Clash judge and Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista. Aside from an exclusive management contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center, John Rex took home PhP1 million cash and a brand-new house and lot worth PhP3 million.
