Authorities confiscated about 370 alleged substandard mobile phones worth P6.4 million in a joint operation in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, police said.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Pangasinan Provincial Field Unit and the Dagupan City Police Office conducted the raid on two stores in the city.
Two individuals were arrested during the operation.
Police said the seized mobile phones and accessories were being sold in physical shops and online platforms. Authorities said the products did not have approval from the National Telecommunications Commission.
Investigators said the suspects may have violated the Consumer Act of the Philippines and the Cybercrime Prevention Act.
The arrested individuals have not issued any statement as of this report.
