The alleged mastermind and three accomplices behind the killing of a man in Tagum City, Davao del Norte were arrested.

According to the Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11), authorities received information that the alleged mastermind intended to surrender voluntarily after reportedly admitting his involvement in the fatal shooting in Barangay Apokon on June 25.

The suspect allegedly confessed that he orchestrated the killing.

During investigation, the suspect arrested allegedly identified the individuals he recruited to carry out the killing, leading to the arrest of other suspects and confiscation of caliber .45 pistols.

The suspects are now detained and will face murder charges. The suspects arrested with guns will also face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act (RA 10591).

“The immediate arrest of the alleged mastermind and his accomplices demonstrates the relentless commitment of the Philippine National Police to deliver justice swiftly and ensure that criminals have no safe haven,” PRO-11 Director, Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete, said.
