Kelvin Miranda marks first undas without father

Kelvin Miranda has marked his first undas without his father, Patricio.

In Athena Imperial's report on "24 Oras" on Monday, the actor said this season would usually a time for them to bond as they would go to the cemetery together on motorcycles.

"It's a happy memory. Now, it will never happen again," he said in Filipino.

"'First Christmas. First birthday. There are lots of firsts," Kelvin added. "I need to adapt and learn how to be strong and face everything."

Kelvin said his projects help him cope with his grief. He enjoys portraying Uno in the GMA Prime series, "The Master Cutter."

"It's very collaborative because even me, I have the right to say something when I notice something that's not OK," he said.

Kelvin credits their director, Dominic Zapata, who is very hands-on in creating their show.

"Of course, Kuya Dong is also part of it, who is very talented and very charming, and it's so great working with him," he added.

Kelvin announced the death of his father in April. His death was due to a vehicular accident.

"The Master Cutter" airs weeknights at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix. —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA News
