Kelvin Miranda, Vice Ganda, Kapuso shows win at FAMAS Broadcast Awards
Kelvin Miranda and Vice Ganda were among the winners at the first-ever FAMAS Broadcast Awards held on Monday at the Manila Hotel.
Kelvin was named Best Performer (Series/Anthology) for his role as Adamus in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre."
"Kailangan natin pairalin ang pagiging malikhain upang tayo'y makalikha ng mga sining," he said in his acceptance speech.
He also thanked the whole team of "Sang'gre" for their hard work on the show.
"Alam n'yong hindi naging madali 'yung pinagdaanan natin para matapos at mabigyang saya ang mga kabataan, maantig ang kanilang mga puso, ang mga adults sa kanilang mga tahanan. Naghatid tayo ng matapang na mensahe," Kelvin said.
Turning emotional, Kelvin also dedicated the award to his late father.
"Kung nakikita niya man ako ngayon, alam ko magiging proud siya sa 'kin," he said.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda was named the Best Host for Entertainment and "It's Showtime" was named Best Variety Show.
"Family Feud" was also named Best Show for Game, Reality, and Competition, while "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" was named Best Entertainment Talk Show.
Earlier in the program, Kara David bagged three awards: Best Documentary, Best Public Affairs Talk Show, and Best Host for Public Service. "Born to Be Wild" won Best Educational Show and "Biyahe ni Drew" won Best Lifestyle Show. —MGP, GMA News
