Gazini Ganados names Shuvee Etrata, Michelle Dee, more Kapuso stars as dream Reina Filipinas candidates

Gazini Ganados revealed the Kapuso stars she hopes to see join the newly launched Reina Filipinas competition.

During the launch of the pageant on Wednesday evening, Gazini named fellow GMA Network celebrities whom she believes have the potential to shine in the competition.

“Lalayo pa ba ako? Shuvee Etrata, ‘di ba? My fellow Cebuana girlie,” she said.

She also mentioned Herlene Budol, who held the Miss Philippines Tourism crown in 2023, as well as Ashley Ortega, revealing she had only recently learned about Ashley's pageant background.

“Herlene Budol, kasi nakapag-prove na siya before na kaya niyang mag-pageant. I was with Ashley Ortega just this morning and I just recently found out that she used to compete once,” Gazini said.

She also named her “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre” co-star, Faith Da Silva.

“Faith Da Silva, of course, ang napaka-energetic kong friend,” she said.

Per Gazini, many women in GMA Network possess the beauty and potential to succeed in pageantry.

“Ang daming magaganda at potential sa GMA. And ang masasabi ko lang, if i-grab nila ‘yung opportunity and they try, walang mawawala,” she said.

Before ending her answer, Gazini added another name to her wish list: Michelle Dee.

“Wait, meron pa isa, Michelle Dee. The one and only. Hindi pa tapos ang laban,” she said. “I'm just excited for what's to come for Reina Filipinas and also for those girls who will take the opportunity. And hopefully, they will give this a chance and be a part of their identity.”

Reina Filipinas recently opened applications for its inaugural edition, which will select representatives for the Miss Grand International system through the Reina Filipinas Grand and Reina Filipinas Grand All Stars titles.

Meanwhile, Gazini recently competed in MGI All Stars and finished in the Top 5.
