Olivia Rodrigo says karaoke moments make her go 'Hell yeah, I’m Filipino'

For Olivia Rodrigo, karaoke is among the things that makes her feel most connected to her Filipino roots.

In a clip posted by Cosmopolitan Philippines, the Filipino-American popstar was asked what makes her think “Hell yeah, I’m Filipino.”

“Whenever I do karaoke, I think ‘Hell yeah, I’m Filipino,’” Olivia said, naming Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and ABBA’s “Dancing Queen" as among her go-to karaoke songs.

She also shared her idea of a perfect day off in the Philippines, saying she would “eat some really good halo-halo” and “go to the beach.”

The interview comes alongside her Cosmopolitan cover feature, where she reflected on her first-ever visit to the country and her sold-out show at the Philippine Arena.

“I had never been to the Philippines in my life, and being able to go there and play in an arena of 55,000 people is so crazy. I loved watching the young girls in the crowd sing songs like ‘Traitor,’” Olivia said.

Olivia made her much-awaited music comeback with “Drop Dead” last month.

She filmed its music video at the Palace of Versailles in France, one of the world’s most restricted and historically significant landmarks.

Her third album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” will come out on June 12.
