MGI president Nawat Itsaragrisil teases 'new era' of PH pageant
Is this the start of something new?
Nawat Itsaragrisil, president of Miss Grand International, teased a “new era of Filipinas” on Instagram.
His post featured the text “Reina Filipinas,” with the letter “I” in Reina transforming into a logo inspired by elements of the Philippine flag, including the sun and three stars.
In the comments section, Jojo Bragais, owner of the Bragais brand and the official footwear partner of the Miss Grand International pageant, wrote, “See you soonest, Papa Nawat!”
Apart from being the MGI president, Nawat is also the Asia vice president of the Miss Universe Organization, as well as the national director of Miss Universe Thailand.
Meanwhile, Miss Grand International All Stars winner Vanessa Pulgarin is set to visit the Philippines from Tuesday to Thursday.
The Colombian beauty queen emerged victorious at the inaugural Miss Grand International All Stars pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand, in May.
The Philippines had five representatives in Miss Grand International All Stars: Gazini Ganados, Fuschia Anne Ravena, Alexia Nuñez, Imelda Schweighart, and Keylyn Trajano.
Fuschia finished in the Top 18, while Alexia, Imelda, and Keylyn exited the competition early. Gazini, meanwhile, placed in the Top 5.
