'Dune 3' teases 'epic conclusion,' consequences for Paul Atreides in official trailer

Paul Atreides must face the consequences of his ruthless reign in the official trailer for "Dune: Part Three."

The Timothée Chalamet-starrer film by Denis Villeneuve is hurtling towards an "epic conclusion," and the stakes are higher than ever.

Set nearly two decades after the events of Part Two, the trailer opens with Chani (Zendaya) confronting Paul (Chalamet), saying, "I trusted you. You promised me that you would never take power in your name."

Now the Emperor who has "conquered the galaxy" and "destroyed thousands of worlds," Paul is faced with a plot against his life, led by Scytale (Robert Pattinson) — and at the heart of it is Chani.

"How does it feel to be human, like everyone else, Paul Atreides?" Chani says.

Paul is also heard saying, "Forgive me for all I've done."

"Dune: Part Three" is set to hit local theaters in December 6.

The highly anticipated film also stars Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Isaach de Bankolé, with Charlotte Rampling, with Anya Taylor-Joy, and Robert Pattinson, and Javier Bardem. —JCB, GMA News
