Filipino designers’ works take center stage at 69th Miss Universe pageant

It’s no secret that Filipinos are incredibly talented!

Many Filipino designers were able to show their talent during the 69th Miss Universe pageant as candidates from different nationalities strutted the stage wearing their works.

During the national costume and evening gown competition held this week, it wasn’t just Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo who carried Pinoy pride and showcased great works made by Filipino designers, but other candidates as well, such as Miss Singapore and Miss Cameroon.

The coronation night of the 69th Miss Universe beauty pageant will be held May 16 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. – Kaela Malig/RC
