AirAsia starts 11.11 sale with P11 fares

Budget carrier AirAsia on Wednesday launched its 11.11 promotional sale, with one-way base fares available for as low as P11 for BIG Members.

In an advisory, AirAsia said the promotional fares will be available from Wednesday, November 11, until Sunday, November 15, covering flights from Manila, Clark, and Cebu with travel dates starting July 1, 2021 to October 30, 2021.

"This is the perfect opportunity for our guests to fulfill their travel desires  and plan their next affordable getaway in 2021 with  family and friends!" AirAsia Philippines chief executive officer Ricky Isla said.

"There is much pent up demand for travel and this new offering from AirAsia is part of our commitment to rebuild confidence in air travel and tourism," he added.

Earlier this month, AirAsia launched its Unli Flight Pass which will allow travelers to book flights to domestic destinations with a travel date until October 2021.

AirAsia Philippines resumed its services on June 5, after nearly three months of suspension due to lockdowns designed to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

AirAsia, along with other carriers Cebu Pacific and the Philippine Airlines, earlier appealed for the government to provide P8.6 billion in assistance to the airline industry given losses incurred during the period. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/KG, GMA News
