Cebu Pacific starts COVID-19 vaccination program for employees


Budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Wednesday has started its free COVID-19 vaccination program for employees, their dependents, and third-party workers.

In a press release, the airline company said the first batch of 300 employees were inoculated at the headquarters in Pasay City.

Cebu Pacific said it aims to fully vaccinate all its employees and third party workers by October.

So far, 51% of Cebu Pacific’s total workforce have been vaccinated, while 58% of its flying pilots and crew have received their vaccine doses. 

Meanwhile, the country has administered 17,202,421 COVID-19 vaccine doses as of July 25.

Of this number, at least 11,113,107 shots were for the first dose while 6,089,314 were for the second dose.

Vaccine brands delivered to the Philippines to date include Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, Sinovac, AstraZeneca, and Sputnik V.

As of Thursday, the 29th of July, the country has reported 1,572,287 COVID-19 cases with 56,273 active cases, 1,488,437 recoveries and 27,577 deaths. -- Ma. Angelica Garcia/BAP, GMA News
