Cebu Pacific boosts Camiguin flights, announces P88 promo fares

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Wednesday announced promotional fares to Camiguin, as it is set to start direct flights from Manila and resume flights from Cebu next month.

Flights between Manila and Camiguin will start on November 15, while flights between Cebu and Camiguin will begin on November 9, Cebu Pacific said.

The airline is offering promotional base fares as low as P88, available from October 27, 2021 to November 10, 2021. The travel dates start from the launch dates until December 31, 2021.

The Cebu-Camiguin flights will be every Tuesday and Saturday, while the Manila-Camiguin flights will be every Monday and Friday.

“Camiguin is another underrated gem that we believe travelers will enjoy discovering. At the same time, these direct connections will enable residents to fly to and from Cebu and Manila conveniently, be it for leisure and business purposes,” Cebu Pacific chief commercial officer Xander Lao said.

At present, the island province requires arriving tourists to create an account on its online portal, and upload the necessary documents including the health declaration form and a proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination.

Travelers are also required to present a negative RT-PCR test result taken at least 72 hours before departure if from Luzon, and at least 48 hours before departure if from Visayas and Mindanao.

Cebu Pacific started to gradually resume its international flights in August, after suspensions due to international restrictions.

Commercial air travel to and from Metro Manila was restricted from March 2020 and only resumed in June last year, after the easing of the community quarantine.
