MMDA moves closure of U-turn slot near General Malvar, Bagong Barrio to January 11

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Sunday said that the closure of a U-turn slot in Caloocan City will be moved from January 4 to January 11.

“It was moved to January 11,” MMDA Traffic Operations chief Bong Nebrija told GMA News Online when asked if the closure will be postponed.

The U-turn slot near General Malvar and Bagong Barrio (northbound going southbound) was initially set to be closed on December 7 last year, but it was rescheduled to January 4, 2021, Monday.

Earlier, the MMDA said the closure of the U-turn slots on EDSA is part of the agency's efforts to make commute time faster for those using the EDSA Carousel Buses.

The MMDA appealed to motorists for understanding and cooperation. — Joviland Rita/BM, GMA News
