Taguig City Mayor Cayetano receives first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano received on Monday his first shot of CoronaVac, a China-made vaccine, against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

"Today I received the first dose of the Sinovac vaccine together with other A1.5 government frontliners, senior citizens and adults with comorbidities," Cayetano said in a statement posted on Taguig City government's Facebook page.

He also urged all residents to get registered for the local vaccination program through the Taguig Registry for Access and Citizen Engagement (TRACE).

Earlier, three mayors in Metro Manila received COVID-19 jabs after President Rodrigo Duterte allowed the vaccination of mayors in high-risk cities and provinces.

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto Rubiano got a dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine while Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos received CoronaVac.
